“The medium is not a fixed vessel for the message, but an intertwined part of it”

Hi, my name is Bobbie! Recently, I graduated from my studies Graphic Design at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Additionally, I’ve studied Graphic Design & Art Direction, with a specialization in Visual Design, at Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan, Italy.

Fluctuating between a personal and theoretical approach, my work is often informed by a fascination with human behavior and ways of seeing. I approach design in a systematical way with a focus on the relation between image and type and have worked on projects varying from short films to visual research, creative writing, editorial design, photography, visual identities and type. I believe the medium is not a fixed vessel for the message, but an intertwined part of it. Nonetheless, my main focus lays with printed matter, specifically exploring the form of the book and its resonance as an object in culture at large.
